to be honest joe ive left it at the(A)mark for the last eight months and it seems to be spot on but now ive read it should be set at the (IT)its now bugging me,but yeah if you could find out would at least put my mind at rest, the one big thing ive learnt messing with scoots is there is nothing STOCK one scoot can be totally different to the next even if its the same model??????!!!!!!cheers mate.

ok is it reed valve or si carb? like you say i got a mixed response from proporting can of worms spring to mind riding style is a major facter as well if you ride half throttle most journeys the timing needs to set for that but if you ride like you stole it everywhere then for that hope you find out as i get my 210 back shortly and i carnt wait to thrash it

If you've gone the full wedge, casings matched, bigger carb, short 4th etc then you should set the timing for 18 deg BTDC as a start point, don't use the marks on the casings as being accurate, they're not! Strobe it properly and you may find you need to cut out the stator to advance your timing even more.
If you're on standard casings, carb, gearing etc, and pootle about at 50 then the IT mark should suit you, but then why did you bother with a 210?
