| I have been trying to find out about the Vespa T5 Millenium and understand only a few hundred were made. What was different on the other T5 models as I think one had a sort of square headlight? Been looking at these for a project but a bit confused about the T5 models. Pictures would help if anyone has them. TA. |

| That’s the one ! Oblong head lamp and all. Did a version of the T5 have a round head lamp me wonders?
Nice to see the bike in all its glory and in the darker silver no less. Wowee. |

| From 85 to 93 the T5 (mark1) as madames photo, then from 1993 to 1999 its the T5 Classic which looks just like a px, Then after that the swan song is the T5 Millenium which is a limited edition. the specs are their in that link I put in previous post |

| Got it ! Thanks for the help all and the link was very interesting.
Pintpot.. So are you a fan of Charles Hawtrey matey? Met him once at Margate in the mid 80's just before the great fire... He got rescued from his home when it caught fire which I think was 84' ish. Lonely sort of chap but was often seen walking around Margate which is where I caught sight of him and that shocking wig which looked like a dead ginger cat on his head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM6p7xQ3_t4 |

| | I'm interested in the Carry On Films in general, Just picked on Pintpot in Carry On Cabby as was a scooterist, which as far as I can make out is a Vespa Sportique, which would be brand new when the film was made. That clip of his interview was very interesting. |

| | t5 mk1 commenly refferd to as square tail due to the extra 3 inchs welded on the back end, slightly longer seat ,origanel seat is pole position but they are like rocking horse sh-t,t5 have floor mats not strips like px ,forks are a touch longer with a tottaly differant locking system ,p/px use a pinch bolt where t5 mk1 locks to the centre plate of the headset ,the mudguard is 1 peice rather than px welded, horncasting is slimmer ,commen faults with uk bikes is rust (so much salt on the uk roads )allways check under the mats and the undercarriege, also the square tail is prone to rust ,normally speedo is fine but there not many with working rev counters ,there are a lot more now being brought from italy and spain ,also slightly differant engines most uk were oil lube with the odd electric start being rare ,now there are electric/non electric start some electric start come without kickstart pain in the arse if youre battery fails, also with and without oil lube ,which is really down to personal prefferance as a lot of scooterboys disconnect anyway if you require more info just give us a shout |
